In late June and early July 2025, the first-ever SOMATOM Force VB30 scanners in Ho Chi Minh City were officially launched at Gia An 115 Hospital and Tam Anh General Hospital.
This milestone marks a significant step forward in bringing cutting-edge diagnostic technology closer to patients, elevating healthcare standards not only for residents of Ho Chi Minh City, but also for millions across Southern Vietnam. This is especially crucial as the city aspires to become a global megacity of Southeast Asia.
On June 26, 2025, a Technology Transfer Ceremony was held at Gia An 115 Hospital, officially introducing Siemens Healthineers鈥 flagship Dual Source CT scanner 鈥 the SOMATOM Force VB30 鈥 to Southern Vietnam.
Just a week later, on July 2, 2025, Tam Anh General Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) celebrated the launch of its second SOMATOM Force VB30 鈥 reinforcing its commitment to high-end diagnostic imaging, only four months after the first unit was introduced in Hanoi.
After attending both events, Mr. Fabian Martin Singer, General Manager of Siemens Healthineers Vietnam, expressed: 鈥淏eing present at both launches in Ho Chi Minh City and standing alongside our esteemed partners at Gia An 115 and Tam Anh, I felt truly proud of our shared commitment to advancing diagnostic excellence and expanding access to world-class technology. These systems are more than technological milestones, they reflect our mission to bring advanced clinical procedures closer to patients in the South. It鈥檚 deeply meaningful to know that with every scan, we鈥檙e enabling earlier and more accurate diagnoses to improve lives of the residents, patients and families across the southern provinces.鈥
With an incredibly fast scanning speed of up to 737 mm/s, the SOMATOM Force VB30 can scan the entire body in seconds and capture the heart at even very high or unstable heart rates. The device offers exceptionally sharp image quality with a remarkable 0.4 mm slice thickness to detect even the smallest abnormalities, critical in e.g. early cancer detection. Most importantly, even vulnerable patients, such as children, may benefit from safer CT procedures thanks to its ultra-low radiation dose and reduced contrast media requirements.
