On August 9, 2025, more than 150 leading orthopedic trauma experts from Austria, Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam gathered at Hong Ngoc General Hospital for the international workshop "The Intraoperative Use of C-Arm Fluoroscopy in Orthopaedic Surgical Practice”.

Co-organized by Siemens Healthineers and Hong Ngoc – Phuc Truong Minh General Hospital, this clinical program is designed to empower Vietnamese doctors with advanced surgical techniques and international treatment standards, bringing them closer to global excellence in patient care.

Held over one day, “The Intraoperative Use of C-Arm Fluoroscopy in Orthopaedic Surgical Practice” featured two main sessions: a scientific symposium and live surgery.

In the scientific symposium, participants gained practical insights from leading trauma centers worldwide on treating complex cases such as acetabular fractures, femoral fractures, elbow injuries, hip replacements, and more. The program also provided updates on the latest applications of C-Arm fluoroscopy, advanced surgical support technologies, and AI in orthopaedic trauma care.

The latter part of the workshop featured live surgeries performed on real patients by Vietnamese surgeons in collaboration with international experts.

  • Case 1: Percutaneous pedicle screw fixation using 3D C-Arm imaging.

  • Case 2: Total knee replacement using the Kinematic Alignment technique, with C-Arm imaging and advanced navigation technologies.

Both procedures were broadcast live, allowing all participants to observe and learn from the surgical techniques in real time.

By bringing together leading professors, doctors, and specialists from around the world alongside a large number of local experts, Siemens Healthineers reaffirmed our role not only as a provider of medical equipment, technologies, and solutions, but also as a partner to hospitals in technology transfer, training, and operational support.
