With Siemens Healthineers’ unique Dual Source gantry SOMATOM Drive is ideally designed: with its two sources and an outstanding rotation speed of 280 ms the heart-rate independent temporal resolution for example in cardiac imaging is now 75 ms. Since SOMATOM Force can apply this scan mode together with an extremely fast acquisition speed it allows free-breathing CT imaging in many cases.

Improved contrast media management
Introducing FAST Bolus
FAST Bolus revolutionizes bolus tracking in contrast media imaging by supporting automated and personalized scan trigger delays to improve image quality and show a more uniform contrast attenuation. With this feature, the chance of missing the contrast media bolus may be reduced, resulting in fewer reducing the need to rescan. The first publications show the potential of FAST Bolus to reduce the amount of iodine contrast media needed without impacting image quality.
