University Clinical Center, established by the Medical University in Gdańsk in 1945, is one of t he largest hospitals in Poland and the largest in the Pomerania region. The MUG is constantly modernizing its teaching and clinical infrastructure, which resulted in two landmark investments: the Invasive Medicine Center was completed in 2011 and the Non-Invasive Medicine Center in 2021.
The combined buildings constitute one of the most modern medical facilities in Europe. Funding for the construction came primarily from the state budget, totaling more than PLN 1 bn.
