  • Entry-level, fully digital X-ray imaging at a very compelling price point
  • No compromises in image quality

Siemens Healthineers launches its most affordable X-ray system yet at this year鈥檚 European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna. The system is designed to enable wider access to care.

鈥淲e are already using a Siemens Healthineers X-ray system and are very happy with the image quality and low dose functionalities. Multix Impact E and its focus on essential operations and workflows, helps us cope with rising patient numbers efficiently - and thus it can be an ideal second system for us鈥, says Musa Msimuko, Head of imaging at the CFB Medical Centre, Lusaka, Zambia.

The fixed-table system with a floor-mounted tube and optional bucky wall stand make Multix Impact E a highly versatile package. Many further optional components are available to tailor the system to healthcare providers鈥 needs and, with its small footprint, it can be installed with minimal effort almost anywhere. At the core of every Multix Impact E is the full-size digital detector, enabling excellent image quality at a low dose.

鈥淚n many places, computed radiography or even analog radiography are still the standard, or imaging is not available at all: Going fully digital in affordable systems tackling these issues is an obvious step, as it drastically reduces the time from image acquisition to the actual image. Patients and physicians get the necessary answers faster, and the resources in the hospital can be used more efficiently鈥, says Verena Sch枚n, Head of X-ray Products at Siemens Healthineers. 鈥淎t the same time, Multix Impact E offers high-quality imaging not seen before in this price bracket鈥 she continues.
